Biografia de Maria Farazdel
Autora del libro “My Little Paradise” Poetic Reflections.

Maria Farazdel Nacida y educada en Santo Dgo. hasta la edad de 17 años. Emigro a NYC donde Recibió su bachelor degree en Hunter College NY en Arte y Francés, he hizo una maestría doble en educación bilingüe e Inglés como Segundo Idioma en la Universidad de Fordham. Tambien adquirio un diploma profesional P.D. en administración escolar en la Universidad en Long Island CWP.
En la actualidad es sub-directora en una escuela pública de la ciudad de Nueva York.
Ha sido profesora de K-6 en escuelas primarias de Nueva York, a enseñado inglés como segundo idioma y educación bilingue, tambien ha impartido una serie de talleres sobre Educación Bilingüe y como desarroyar y lograr metas. Otros trabajos incluyen: fotógrafa- independiente, expociones fotograficas y de acuarelas, fue reportera para la Revista Pneuma de Hunter College, Fotografa, editora y co-directora para el periodico literario Palimpsesto en Manhattan.

About The author:

Maria Farazdel is a native of the Dom. Rep. who has lived and worked in NY since the age of 17. She received her B.A. from Hunter College, M.A. in education from Fordham U. and P.D. in School District Administration from Long Island University; Currently an Assistant Principal, editor and photographer for the literary newspaper Palimsesto. She has worked as a free lance photographer and photo journalist for Hunter College’s magazine.

Book Synopsis:

My little Paradise; Poetic Reflections is a collection of poems and photographs inspired by the author’s great affection for her native land. In her first book of a series of three, Ms. Farazdel’s selections illustrate an amazing ability to express personal reflections on culture, country and family that also have universal appeal.
